Designed for tackling the inhospitable underwater world, the Original is the product of an impressive legacy of functions developed for the Engineer Hydrocarbon collection over the years, combining reliability, solidity and functionality.
The Engineer Hydrocarbon Original's unidirectional bezel is made of sapphire and is graduated so that the diver can measure their dive time accurately, Water-resistant to 200 meters, this model is one of the few to feature luminous micro tubes of H₃ gas inside the sapphire bezel. The brand’s iconic tubes can also be found on the hands and, for the first time ever, under the dial, allowing for unrivalled luminosity in the dark.
Powered by the COSC certified automatic caliber BALL RR1102-CSL, the Original is completed with the patented Amortiser® shockproof system. Inside the movement itself, the SpringLOCK® and SpringSEAL® systems ensure continued accuracy in the event of shocks to the piece. Faithful to the specifications of the Hydrocarbon collection, the crown is equipped with a protection system. To ensure its superior reliability, this model is resistant to shocks of up to 7,500 G and anti-magnetic to 1,000 Gauss thanks to the mu-metal shielding.
